    • One of our Techsignal Intraday software members wrote us this recently:

"It's such a great tool, and I'm relying on it more and more.  I can't thank you enough for making it available. I just thought I share with you the way I use it.  After running a data series and plotting an overlap synthesis of all the cycles, I start eliminating components.  First, I get rid of high Bartels sines, generally anything above 10% to 20%.  Then, I get rid of low amplitude cycles, generally 5 to 10 of the lowest amplitudes.  Then I look for cycles that are harmonically related per Hurst, both in time and amplitude.  My goal is to narrow the choices down to 2 to 4 sines, ideally 3.  What's really neat is that many times, what Techsignal gives me matches up almost exactly with my visual observations (using tools on Trade Station that I have created).  Thus, Techsignal really boosts my confidence in my model.   I also then use some the built-in technical indicators by adjusting the default values to the dominant cycles."
